actinides are group 2-3 period 7.
the actinide group consists of actinium, thorium, uranium, neptunium, plutonium, americium, curium, berkelium, californium, einsteinium, fermium, mendelevium, nobelium.
for of the elements in the actinide group are solids and the others are not found in nature.
actinides is a metal, the three physical properties are malleable, which is one that can be hammered or rolled into flat sheets and other shapes, there is also ductile, which is a wire, for example copper which can be made into thin sheets, and theres conductivity, and thats the ability of an object to transfer heat or electricity to another object.
the three chemical properties for metals are reactivity, which is when the ease of speed which an elements combine. or reacts, with other element and compounds, there's also corrosion, which is the destruction of metal, there's also oxidation, which is the process of corrosion
they are all easy to remember because they all end in "ium". only uranium takes place in the Earths crusts. to make the periodic table shorter, they put actinides at the bottom to shorten it out
2 common uses are that they can be a therapy to cancer, and uranium and plutonium can be used to make atomic bombs
